Pronotum with anterior surface rugose; posterior surface less than 0.5 × as long as mesoscutum (6:15), rugose, with posterior half unsculptured. Mesoscutum shiny, smooth, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. In specimen from South Africa, 33°56.232’S 18°57.711’E, mesoscutum very slightly granulate. Notauli reaching approximately 0.3 × length of mesoscutum; in paratype and specimen from South Africa, 33°56.232’S 18°57.711’E, notauli almost completely absent; in specimens from South Africa, 32°57.512’S 18°06.728’E, notauli reaching about 0.2 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Mesopleuron with anterior half reticulate rugose and posterior half smooth, punctate, unsculptured among punctures; metapleuron completely reticulate rugose. Metapectal-propodeal disc with strong transverse posterior keel, reticulate rugose, more than 0.5 × as long as mesoscutellum + metanotum (9:14); propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels (occasionally with two narrow longitudinal keels). Forewing with dark transverse band around 2r-rs&Rs vein; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (3:8). Protarsomeres in following proportions: 10:2:2:2.5:8.5; protarsomere 4 less than 0.5 × as long as basal part of 5. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 70C View FIGURE 70 ) with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle.
