Description. ♀. Fully winged; body length 3.0– 3.7 mm. Head black, except mandible yellow (with teeth brown); antenna completely testaceous; occasionally antennomeres 3–10, or 4–10, 6–10, or 8–10 completely brown or with dorsal surface brown; mesosoma of holotype and other specimens black, except prothorax ferruginous; in other specimens (including one paratype in NHMUK) mesosoma completely black, or with anterior margin of pronotum reddish dark; metasoma black; tegula testaceous; legs completely testaceous; occasionally clubs of mesofemur partly brown, or metacoxa, club of metafemur and metatibia brown. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 9:5:5:4:4:5:5:5:5:6. Head dull, granulate and slightly or strongly reticulate rugose (in specimen from South Africa, Butterfly Ridge, frons unsculptured among areolae and keels; in specimen from South Africa, 33°56.232’S 18°57.711’E, head almost completely smooth, with very slight tracks of areolae); frontal line complete; frons without lateral keels (in specimen from South Africa, Butterfly Ridge, frons with two lateral keels near orbits directed towards antennal toruli); occipital carina complete; POL = 7; OL = 4; OOL = 5; OPL = 5; TL = 4; in specimen from South Africa, 28°52.08’S 31°22.41’E, POL = 7; OL = 5; OOL = 5; OPL = 6; TL = 3; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli shorter than OL (4:5). Pronotum rugose, with posterior surface shiny and smooth; posterior surface shorter than mesoscutum (5:12), approximately as long as OPL. Mesoscutum shiny, smooth, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures (in specimen from Zimbabwe, Bvumba, mesoscutum punctate and slightly granulate among punctures; in specimen from South Africa, 28°52.08’S 31°22.41’E, mesoscutum strongly granulate). Notauli absent; occasionally incomplete and reaching about 0.25–0.30 × length of mesoscutum (in specimen from South Africa, Butterfly Ridge, notauli shortly and slightly visible near anterior margin of mesoscutum). Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Mesopleuron and metapleuron rugose. Metapectal-propodeal disc with strong transverse posterior keel, reticulate rugose; propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, with two longitudinal keels and median area as rugose as lateral areas. Forewing with one more or less dark transverse band around 2r-rs&Rs vein (in specimens from South Africa, Butterfly Ridge and Mahai Camp, forewing completely hyaline, without dark transverse band); distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (3:7). Protarsomere 1 longer than 4 (7:2.5); protarsomere 4 produced into hook, approximately 0.5 × as long as basal part of 5. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 53C View FIGURE 53 ) with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 53C View FIGURE 53 ) with proximal and medial bristles (in two specimens from South Africa, 28°52.08’S 31°22.41’E and 32°57.394’S 18°05.324’E, with one slender lamella and three bristles); apex with 3–9 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

♂. Fully winged; body length 2.1–2.4 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna brown, except scape and pedicel testaceous; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs brown, except junctions and tarsi testaceous. Antennomeres in following proportions: 10:6:7:6:6:6:6:6:6:7. Head shiny, reticulate rugose (in specimens from South Africa, 34°16.481’S 19°01.033’E, head almost completely granulate, except lateral regions of frons slightly rugose); frontal line present; frons without lateral keels near orbits directed towards antennal toruli; occipital carina complete; POL = 7; OL = 4; OOL = 6; OPL = 5; TL = 3. Mesoscutum shiny, smooth, slightly punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.3 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Metapectal-propodeal disc with strong transverse posterior keel, reticulate rugose; propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, with two complete longitudinal keels and median area as rugose as lateral areas; occasionally longitudinal keels incomplete. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much shorter than proximal part (3:10). Paramere ( Fig. 54B View FIGURE 54 ) much shorter than penis, without distal inner pointed process and without proximal membranous process. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
