Diagnosis. ♀ of Dryinus with head and mesosoma totally testaceous, except ocellar area black ( Fig. 142 View FIGURE 142 ); head granulate, with lateral ocelli located in front of imaginary straight line joining posterior edges of eyes; notauli incomplete, reaching about 0.65 × length of mesoscutum; mesoscutellum granulate; metapectal-propodeal disc about twice as long as propodeal declivity; protarsomere 1 slightly shorter than 4; enlarged claw ( Fig. 141E View FIGURE 141 ) with one large subdistal tooth and one row of 15 lamellae.
Description. ♀ ( Fig. 142 View FIGURE 142 ). Fully winged; body length 5.9–6.2 mm. Completely testaceous, except ocellar area, petiole and distal extremity of metasoma black. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 12:7:43:24:18:12:9:7:6:9. Head ( Fig. 142E View FIGURE 142 ) flat, dull, granulate; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete; lateral ocelli situated behind virtual straight line joining posterior edges of eyes; POL = 3; OL = 2.5; OOL = 12; OPL = 1; TL = 4. Pronotum dull, granulate, with many longitudinal keels on lateral regions; pronotum crossed by strong anterior transverse impression and very strong posterior transverse furrow; anterior collar distinct; posterior collar long; pronotal tubercle not reaching tegula. Mesoscutum granulate and reticulate rugose. Notauli incomplete, approximately reaching 0.65 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum dull, granulate. Metanotum dull, granulate and rugose. Metapectal-propodeal disc reticulate rugose, about twice as long as propodeal declivity (30:17); propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels. Forewing ( Fig. 142F View FIGURE 142 ) with two dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein more than twice as long as proximal part (23:9). Protarsomeres in following proportions: 21:4:10:22:38. Protarsomere 3 produced into hook. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 141E View FIGURE 141 ) with one large subdistal tooth and one row of 15 lamellae. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 141E View FIGURE 141 ) with two rows of about 36 lamellae; apex with about 30 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Etymology. The new species is named in honour of Rick and Tina Whittle, both for their friendship with one of the authors (RSC) during their Kenya days and in recognition of their passion for exploration and natural history.
