Dryinus zambeziacus Olmi 2004a: 357 ; Guglielmino & Olmi 2006: 45; Guglielmino et al. 2013: 30.
Description. ♀. Fully winged; body length 6.9 mm. Head black, except clypeus and mandible testaceous; ventral side of head black; occiput black; antenna testaceous, except antennomeres 7–10 brown; propleuron black; meso- soma black, except sides and posterior collar of pronotum slightly testaceous; metasoma black, except posterior half testaceous-reddish; proleg testaceous, with most part of coxa, part of trochanter and proximal extremity of femur black; meso- and metalegs black, except articulations and tarsi (except arolium) testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 14:7:23:17:14:11:9:8:7:9; ADOs present in antennomeres 7–10. Head convex, dull, setose, granulate and reticulate rugose; frontal line incomplete, absent in anterior third of frons; occipital carina incomplete, shortly present on sides of lateral ocelli, laterally not reaching eyes, absent on temple; POL = 5; OL = 4; OOL = 9; OPL = 1; TL = 2; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli about as long as OL. Propleuron almost completely hidden under pronotum. Pronotum dull, setose, granulate, slightly humped, crossed by anterior slight transverse furrow and posterior deep furrow; posterior collar of pronotum very short, almost absent, slightly rugose; pronotal tubercle not reaching tegula. Mesoscutum dull, setose, completely granulate and reticulate rugose. Notauli absent. Mesoscutum with two incomplete longitudinal keels reaching 0.5 × length of mesoscutum and very similar to notauli. Mesoscutellum dull, reticulate rugose, except small median granulate area. Metanotum dull, reticulate rugose. Metapectal-propodeal disc completely reticulate rugose, shorter than propodeal declivity (16:25); propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, with two longitudinal keels and median area dull, rugose. Mesopleuron dull, reticulate rugose. Metapleuron dull, granulate and transversely striate. Forewing with one dark transverse band around 2r-rs&Rs vein; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much longer than proximal part (18:9). Protarsomeres in following proportions: 14:3:8:14:25. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 150E View FIGURE 150 ) without subdistal teeth, with one row of five bristles in addition to two distal lamellae. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 150E View FIGURE 150 ) with two rows of 12 + 4 lamellae (shortest row composed of very long lamellae; longest row composed of very short lamellae); apex with at least 19 lamellae, among which one very long lamella. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
♂. Fully winged; body length 4.5 mm. Head black, except mandible and clypeus testaceous; antenna testaceous; mesosoma black; metasoma black, except posterior half testaceous-reddish; proleg testaceous, except coxa mostly black, trochanter partly brown and brown spot on club of femur; meso- and metalegs with coxae mostly black, trochanters partly black and partly whitish, femora black, tibiae testaceous-darkened, tarsi testaceous, except arolia brown, articulations testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 8:6:18:12:11:12:10:9:9:10.5. Head dull, convex, completely reticulate rugose; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete; POL = 8; OL = 4; OOL = 6; OPL = 3; TL = 3; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli slightly longer than OL (5:4). Mesoscutum, mesoscutellum and metanotum dull, reticulate rugose. Notauli slightly visible, incomplete, reaching approximately 0.5 × length of mesoscutum. Metapectal-propodeal disc reticulate rugose, without transverse keels; propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein much longer than proximal part (17:10); 2R1 cell open. Paramere with dorsal side showing mosaic sculpture ( Fig. 150F View FIGURE 150 ). Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
