Thaumatodryinus comptoni Olmi 2005c: 240 ; Azevedo et al. 2010: 892.

Description. ♀. Fully winged; body length 4.6–5.6 mm. Testaceous, except petiole black. Specimen from Madagas- car, Ankarana, quite different from type material, because of following characters: head mostly testaceous, except brown area around occipital hole and two brown stripes in front of antennal toruli; antenna testaceous; mesosoma mostly testaceous, except isolated brown stripes on propleuron, along posterior margin of pronotum, on lateral regions of pronotum, along anterior margin of mesoscutum, suture between mesoscutum and mesoscutellum, isolated stripes on mesopleuron; metanotum totally brown; metapectal-propodeal disc and propdeal declivity partly testaceous and partly brown; metasoma testaceous, except some brown spots; legs testaceous, except metatibia and club of profemur partly brown.Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 17:7:34:38:39:15:10:19:11.5:10. Head shiny, completely granulate and reticulate rugose; frontal line absent; occipital carina complete; ocellar region swollen; POL = 7; OL = 3; OOL = 11; OPL = 3; TL = 4. Pronotum shiny, crossed by transverse impression, granulate; sides of pronotum sculptured by numerous longitudinal striae; posterior tubercle of pronotum reaching tegula. Mesoscutum shiny, granulate and slightly rugose; posterior third of mesoscutum sculptured by slight longitudinal keels. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated; minimum distance between notauli approximately twice as long as greatest breadth of lateral ocelli (10:5). Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Metapectal-propodeal disc reticulate rugose, without transverse posterior keel; propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels. Forewing with one dark transverse band situated around 2r-rs&Rs vein; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein longer than proximal part (34:23). Hind wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands. Protarsomeres in following propor- tions: 29:5:8:30:45. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 158B View FIGURE 158 ) with two subapical teeth and one row of 35 lamellae. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 158B View FIGURE 158 ) with two rows of about 57 lamellae; apex with approximately eight lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

♂. Fully winged; body length 2.7 mm. Totally testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following propor- tions: 6:5:10:15.5:14:13.5:11:10:9:9. Head shiny, convex, with many slight irregular striae, unsculptured among striae; frontal line absent; occipital carina complete; POL = 8; OL = 2; OOL = 6; OPL = 2; TL = 4; greatest diameter of lateral ocelli longer than OL (4:2). Mesoscutum dull, granulate. Notauli complete, posteriorly separated; minimum distance between notauli longer than greatest breadth of the ocelli (6.5:4). Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Metapectal-propodeal disc reticulate rugose, without strong transverse posterior keel; propodeal declivity reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein longer than proximal part (23:13); 2R1 cell open. Inner side of paramere with characteristic mosaic sculpture ( Fig. 159A View FIGURE 159 ). Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
