Description. ♀. Apterous; body length 1.7–2.9 mm. Completely testaceous, except petiole black, posterior third of metasoma black and antennomeres 3–10 brown or black. Head rarely darkened. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 7:4.5:6:4.5:4.5:4.5:4.5:4:4:6. Head excavated, shiny, unsculptured; frontal line complete; occipital carina absent; temple distinct; POL = 1; OL = 1; OOL = 6. Palpal formula 3/2. Pronotum shiny, unsculptured, not crossed by transverse impression or very slightly impressed. Metanotum very sloping anteriorly, about coplanar to mesoscutellum. Metapectal-propodeal disc shiny, unsculptured; propodeal declivity transversely striate. Metapectal-propodeal disc usually unsculptured, occasionally granulate. Meso-metapleural suture obsolete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 10:2:4:9:15. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 201A View FIGURE 201 ) with one small subapical tooth and a two peg-like setae + one bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 201A View FIGURE 201 ) with one row of 1 (proximal) + 12 lamellae; apex with seven lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
♂. Fully winged; body length 1.7–2.0 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna and mesosoma black; metasoma brown; legs brown, except tarsi and stalks of femora testaceous. Antenna filiform, with antennomere 3 less than 3 × as long as broad (5:2); antennomeres in following proportions: 4:3.5:5:5:5:5:5:5:4.5:7. Head dull, granulate; frontal line absent; occipital carina absent; POL = 6; OL = 3; OOL = 4; vertex with smooth ovoidal shiny area situated between eyes and lateral ocelli (area surrounded anteriorly by strong prominent process). Palpal formula 3/2. Mesoscutum dull, granulate. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.3 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, completely granulate. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein longer than proximal part (9:6). Dorsal process of paramere ( Fig. 200A View FIGURE 200 ) much shorter than paramere. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Hosts. Cicadellidae ( Guglielmino et al. 2013) : in Mozambique: Anaconura instabilis (Ribaut) (= Doratulina instabilis (Ribaut)) ; Stirellus flavovirescens (Stål) .
Natural enemies. Hymenoptera Encyrtidae : in Mozambique: Cheiloneurus gonatopodis R. Perkins. This Encyrtid is one of the most common natural enemies of Dryinids in Mozambique (see also Echthrodelphax tauricus Ponomarenko , Gonatopus amoenus Olmi and Gonatopus incognitus Olmi ). The reared specimens have the following locality labels: 10: Mozambique, Maputo Prov., 5 km E Manhiça, parasitized leafhopper collected on 17.IX.1996; cocoon spun on 19.IX.1996; encyrtids emergence on 7.X.1996; 1♂, 3♀♀ ( MOLC) .
