Description. ♀ ( Fig. 224A View FIGURE 224 ). Apterous; body length 4.5–6.2 mm. Head black, except mandible, clypeus and ante- rior part of frons yellow; antenna black, except scape and pedicel yellow; mesosoma black; metasoma black, with brown nuances; legs yellow, except brown spots on coxae, protrochanter, clubs of femora and outer side of protibia. Antennomeres in following proportions: 12:12:33:27:21:19:15:15:14:18. Head ( Fig. 209F View FIGURE 209 ) excavated; frons with many longitudinal keels; POL = 3; OL = 4; OOL = 15. Palpal formula 6/3. Pronotum crossed by strong transverse impression, shiny, smooth and setose. Mesoscutum alutaceous, with two lateral pointed apophyses laterally. Metanotum transversely striate, about coplanar to mesoscutellum ( Fig. 209G View FIGURE 209 ). Metapectal-propodeal disc shiny, smooth; propodeal declivity transversely striate. Mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture obsolete or partly visible. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 215A View FIGURE 215 ) with one small subapical tooth and seven peg-like setae. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 215A View FIGURE 215 ) with inner side proximally serrate and two rows of 1–2 (proximal) + 23–26 lamellae; apex with approximately 16–18 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
♂. Fully winged; body length 2.4–2.8 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna brown; mesosoma black; metasoma brown; legs testaceous, except femora and meso- and metatibia partly brown. Antenna filiform; antennomeres in following proportions: 4.5:5.5:8:7:6.5:6:6:5.5:6:10; antennomere 3 less than 3 × as long as broad (8:3). Head dull, swollen, completely reticulate rugose; frontal line absent; occipital carina absent; POL = 7; OL = 3; OOL = 4; vertex with two oval smooth and shiny areas situated between lateral ocelli and eyes (areas not surrounded anteriorly by high carina). Palpal formula 6/3. Mesoscutum dull, granulate. Notauli complete, posteriorly sepa- rated; minimum distance between notauli almost as long as greatest breadth of lateral ocelli (3:2.8). Mesoscutellum and metanotum shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, reticulate rugose. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; 2r-rs&Rs vein regularly curvilinear, with distal part longer than proximal part (16:9). Dorsal process of paramere ( Figs 219E View FIGURE 219 , 220A View FIGURE 220 ) long and slender. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
Material examined. Types: ♀ holotype: UGANDA: Busoga Kingdom, Bussu , 1910, E. Bayon leg. ( MCSNG) . Paratype: same locality label as holotype , 1♀ ( MRAC) (collecting data has been wrongly reported as “Bussu- 1909” in the original description of Benoit (1951a) (see Penati & Olmi 2011)).
