Type locality. State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 261A View Plate 261 ). Recorded in the central portion of the Atlantic Forest ( Plt. 261A View Plate 261 ) at low to high elevations ( Plt. 261B View Plate 261 ). Observed in the field in forest and disturbed areas ( Cardoso et al., 2001; Pontes et al., 2008; Marques et al., 2009).
