Type locality. Uruguay .

Distribution. Known from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, mostly along the southern portion of the South American open diagonal ( Plt. 308A View Plate 308 ). In Brazil, recorded in the Atlantic Forest, Cerrado, Chaco, Chiquitano Dry Forest, Pampas Grasslands, and Pantanal ( Plt. 308A View Plate 308 ), at low to high elevations ( Plt. 308B View Plate 308 ). Observed in the field in open habitats including grassland and savanna ( Gaiarsa et al., 2013; Sawaya et al., 2008).
