Type locality. Rio de Janeiro , state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 342A View Plate 342 ). Recorded in the southern Atlantic Forest, with a disjunct population in Bahia ( Plt. 342A View Plate 342 ), mostly at low elevations ( Plt. 342B View Plate 342 ). Observed in the field in forest and disturbed areas ( Sazima and Argôlo, 1994; Argôlo, 2004; Hartmann, 2005; Duarte and Sena, 2007).
