Type locality. Paraguay .

Distribution. Known from Argentina, Bolívia, Brazil,and Paraguay ( Plt. 344A View Plate 344 ). In Brazil, recorded in the Pantanal and western portion of the Cerrado ( Plt. 344A View Plate 344 ), mostly at low elevations ( Plt. 344B View Plate 344 ). Observed in the field in forest and open areas ( Giraudo and Scrocchi, 2002; Sousa et al., 2010).
