Type locality. Suriname .

Distribution. Known from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Suriname, and Venezuela ( Plt. 370A View Plate 370 ). In Brazil, widespread in Amazonia ( Plt. 370A View Plate 370 ), mostly at low elevations ( Plt. 370B View Plate 370 ). Observed in the field in forest ( Martins and Oliveira, 1998).
