Type locality. Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 401A View Plate 401 ). Widespread in the Cerrado, and in tis contact areas with the Atlantic Forest and Chiquitano Dry Forest. An isolated record in upland grassland areas within the Caatinga ( Plt. 401A View Plate 401 ), mostly at intermediate to high elevations ( Plt. 401B View Plate 401 ). Observed in the field in savannas and grasslands ( FranÇa et al., 2008; Sawaya et al., 2008, Valdujo et al., 2009).
