Xenodon nattereri ( Steindachner, 1867)

Type locality. Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 401A ). Widespread in the Cerrado, and in tis contact areas with the Atlantic Forest and Chiquitano Dry Forest. An isolated record in upland grassland areas within the Caatinga ( Plt. 401A ), mostly at intermediate to high elevations ( Plt. 401B ). Observed in the field in savannas and grasslands ( FranÇa et al., 2008; Sawaya et al., 2008, Valdujo et al., 2009).
