Type locality. Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural Santuário do CaraÇa , Catas Altas, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 117A View Plate 117 ). Recorded in the southern portion of the Cerrado and its contact with the Atlantic Forest,with isolated records in Pampas Grasslands ( Plt. 117A View Plate 117 ), mostly at high elevations ( Plt. 117B View Plate 117 ). Observed in the field in savanna and gallery forest ( Hamdan and Fernandes, 2015).
