Type locality. Esmeraldas, Ecuador .

Distribution. Known from Bolívia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela, in Amazonia ( Plt. 133A View Plate 133 ). In Brazil, widespread in Amazonia ( Plt. 133A View Plate 133 ),mostly at low elevations ( Plt. 133B View Plate 133 ). Observed in the field in forest ( Bernarde and Abe, 2006).
