Type locality. Serra do Cipó , Santana do Riacho, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil.Restricted to contact areas between Cerrado and Atlantic Forest ( Plt. 148A View Plate 148 ), at high elevations ( Plt. 148B View Plate 148 ). Observed in the field in grassland with rock outcrops and upland forest( Sawaya and Sazima,2003).
