Type locality. Base Camp of the Xavantina- Cachimbo expedition, Serra do Roncador, Ribeirão Cascalheira, state of state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, according to specimen label in the NHM .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 255A View Plate 255 ). Known only from the type locality in the northwestern portion of the Cerrado ( Plt. 255A View Plate 255 ) at intermediate elevations ( Plt. 255B View Plate 255 ). No detailed field data on habitat use are available for this species.
