Type locality. Parque das Mangabeiras, Belo Horizonte, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 21A View Plate 21 ), recorded in contact areas between Atlantic Forest and Cerrado along the southern portion of the EspinhaÇo Range ( Plt. 21A View Plate 21 ), mostly at high elevations ( Plt. 21B View Plate 21 ). No detailed field data on habitat use are available for this species.
