Type locality. Puerto Cabello , Caracas, Venezuela .

Distribution. Known from Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela, mainly on the Guiana Shield ( Plt. 23A View Plate 23 ). In Brazil, widespread in Amazonia and Guianan savannas ( Plt. 23A View Plate 23 ) at low elevations ( Plt. 23B View Plate 23 ). No detailed field data on habitat use are available for this species.
