Type locality. State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil .

Distribution. Known from Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay ( Plt. 64A View Plate 64 ). Widespread in Atlantic Forest ( Plt. 64A View Plate 64 ) at low to intermediate elevations ( Plt. 64B View Plate 64 ). Previous maps and taxonomy in Campbell and Lamar (2004). Observed in the field in humid forest ( Campbell and Lamar, 2004).
