Bothrops leucurus Wagler View in CoL in Spix, 1824

Type locality. State of Bahia, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 65A View Plate 65 ). Widespread in the northern portion of the Atlantic Forest, including nearby upland enclaves in the Caatinga ( Plt. 65A View Plate 65 ), mostly at low to intermediate elevations ( Plt. 65B View Plate 65 ). Previous maps and taxonomy in Campbell and Lamar (2004). Observed in the field in primary and disturbed forest ( Campbell and Lamar, 2004).
