Type locality. Santo Antônio do Capivari , Rio Claro, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 60A View Plate 60 ). Recorded in the Atlantic Forest ( Plt. 60A View Plate 60 ), mostly at high elevations ( Plt. 60B View Plate 60 ). Previous maps and taxonomy in Campbell and Lamar (2004). Observed in the field in open areas and forest edges ( Martins et al., 2002).
