Type locality. Lagoa d’Arara , Mucuri, state of Bahia, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 63A View Plate 63 ). Widespread in Atlantic Forest and Araucaria Forest ( Plt. 63A View Plate 63 ) from low to high elevations ( Plt. 63B View Plate 63 ). Previous maps and taxonomy in Campbell and Lamar (2004). Observed in the field in primary and disturbed forest ( Campbell and Lamar, 2004; Barbo et al., 2011; Rojas and Serrano, 2019).
