Type locality. Colombia .

Distribution. Known from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela, mostly throughout Amazonia ( Plt. 96A View Plate 96 ). In Brazil, widespread in Amazonia ( Plt. 96A View Plate 96 ) at low elevations ( Plt. 96B View Plate 96 ). Previous maps and taxonomy in Roze (1996), Campbell and Lamar (2004), and Silva Jr. et al. (2016). Observed in the field in forest ( Cunha and Nascimento, 1993; Dixon and Soini, 1986; Roze, 1996; Martins and Oliveira, 1998; Silva Jr. et al. (2016).
