Protonemura bacurianica Zhiltzova, 1957

Material examined. 3 Ô, 3 ♀, Iraq, Kurdistan Region, Erbil, Choman , 2.5 km North Nawanda Village, 36°41’40.92’’N, 44°53’28.68’’E, Alt. 1935 m a.s.l. 17.V.2022, leg. Farhad A. Khudhur.

Body colour ranges from light brown to brown ( Figure 3a ). The inner lobe of the paraproct is much longer than the middle lobe ( Figure 3b ). The species is widespread in West Asia ( Mohammadian 2008; Teslenko & Zhiltzova, 2009; Darilmaz, Salur, Murányi, and Vinçon 2016, Cherchesova, Shapovalov, Mamaev, & Palatov 2023; Murányi, Manko, Kováks, Vinçon, & Žiak 2023). It emerges during late spring and summer from streams 900 to 1200 m asl (Cherchesova, Shapovalov, Mamaev, & Palatov 2023; Murányi, Manko, Kováks, Vinçon, & Žiak 2023).
