Valid name: Eumops glaucinus (Wagner, 1843)

Lectotype (here designated): ZMB 2587 , skin, skull not extracted, female, adult; presumably San Antonio el Fundador, Canimar, Matanzas, Cuba; collected by J. Gundlach.

Paralectotypes: ZMB 2827 , body in alcohol, skull extracted, male, adult . ZMB 2865 , skin, skull not extracted, female, adult . ZMB 2871 , skin, skull not extracted, male, adult . ZMB 2981 , skin, skull not extracted, female, adult. Uncatalogued (old number = A 3526), body in alcohol, skull not extracted. All specimens from Guanabacoa, Matanzas, and Bayamo [restricted by Gundlach, 1877: 27], three separate locaties on Cuba; collected by J. Gundlach.

Comment: In the original description the type locality is cited as Fundador. Three localities were later identified by Gundlach (1877: 27) for the type series collection. The external measurements in the original description of a dry specimen agree as far as possible with those of the remeasured ZMB 2587, which is here designated as the lectotype. ZMB 2827 was not found by Carter & Dolan (1978: 93), but was present in the collections during the research for this catalogue.
