Valid name: Phoniscus jagorii ( Peters, 1866)
Holotype: ZMB 2541 View Materials , body in alcohol, skull extracted, female; Mummy Cave , Nipa-Nipa, Samar Id., Philippines; collected by F. Jagor, between 1857 and 1861.
Comment : A female, ZMB 3399 View Materials , is catalogued and marked as type in the general catalogue; however, since it originates from Rockhampton (Queensland, Australia) it cannot be a type .
