Valid name: Erophylla sezekorni (Gundlach, 1861)
Holotype: ZMB 2456 View Materials , body in alcohol, skull extracted, male adult; Rangel, Santa Cruz de los Piños, Pinar del Rio, Cuba; collected by J. Gundlach & Sezekorn.
Comment: The original description mentions neither a locality nor a collector: however, Gundlach (1877: 12) indicated that Peters had received the only specimen that had been collected at that time.
