Valid name: Acerodon jubatus (Eschscholtz, 1831)

Syntypes ( Andersen 1912: 429): ZMB 340 , skin and skull, male, adult. ZMB 341 , skin and skull, female, adult. Both from Manila, Luzon, Philippines; collected by Meyen , 1832.

Comment: Andersen (1912: 429) wrote: “the skull of no. 340 (marked no. 7202) is the original of Meyen´s figure, pl. xlvi. figs. 1–3 .”
