Records from the study area: Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu—Cook (1967); Prasad (1974); Smit & Pešić (2008).

Remarks: Lundblad (19690 did not feel certain about the locality of his specimens, they were either from Calcutta (West Bengal) or Colombo ( Sri Lanka).

Habitat: Ponds.
