Etymology. The species name refers to the characteristic light bluish tint on the head, pronotum and legs; cyanea = light (or sky) blue in Greek.

Diagnosis. See diagnosis of genus.

Description. Head, pronotum and tegmina generally dark green with a tint of light blue, white, black and dark red when alive, generally yellow when preserved ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24 , 25 View FIGURE 25 ). Eyes in lateral view oval; in dorsal view globular and slightly protruding anteriorly ( Figs 25B, 25C View FIGURE 25 ). Head with dorsum multi-coloured: medially black with median suclus having thin and green line, lateral of median sulcus with thicker and green longitudinal lateral bands; black dorsum bordered by white margins that run from posterior margin of head along margin of eye to base of frontal rostrum ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 ). Frontal rostrum basally white with a tint of light blue and apically black; somewhat flattened, triangular, stout, with broadly rounded apex and median sulcus distinct ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24 , 25C View FIGURE 25 ). Antennal scapus black with a tint of light blue; pedicles black with basal and distal parts light blue; segments reddish purple ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24 , 25C, 25D View FIGURE 25 ). Face between eyes white with a tint of light blue, otherwise light coloured; mouthparts generally light coloured ( Fig. 25D View FIGURE 25 ). Pronotal disc with anterior margin straight and light blue, posterior margin broadly rounded and white ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24 , 25C View FIGURE 25 ); dorsal disc mostly dark red, median keel with white thin line, laterally with green broken longitudinal band, black near posterior margin ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 ); pronzona 1.8 times longer than metazona. Pronotal lobe 1.1 times taller than long; mostly green, faintly darker in middle with margins white; ventral part of lobe white; posterior margin also black bordered by white; ventral margin fairly long and straight ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24 , 25B View FIGURE 25 ). Tegmen relatively narrow and dark green; stridulatory area, anal margin and apex with veins green and cells black, in basal part with basal margin white ( Figs 24 View FIGURE 24 , 25A View FIGURE 25 ). Femora generally dark yellow green with basal and apical ends having tints of light blue, white and black ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 ); tibiae generally black, in middle with broad white ring ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 ). Fore tibia with inner tympanum conchate, slightly swollen, with broad slit opening, around tympanum and knee black with a tint of light blue and dark red ( Fig. 25E View FIGURE 25 ); with outer tympanum oval ( Fig. 25F View FIGURE 25 ). Hind legs missing in holotype.

Male. Left tegmen with vein 1A swollen, transversely elongated oval ( Fig. 26A View FIGURE 26 ); right tegmen with vein 1A slightly curved and mirror stoutly pentagonal ( Fig. 26B View FIGURE 26 ). Stridulatory file on left tegmen faintly sinuous with ca. 33 fairly broadly-spaced and stout teeth ( Fig. 26C View FIGURE 26 ). Abdominal apex as shown in Figs 26D, 26E View FIGURE 26 : tenth abdominal tergite large with two lateral bulbous lobes, between lobes deeply emarginated; cercus curved with apex acute; subgenital plate very long and deeply emarginated with two apical lobes long and slender; styli inserted into apical lobes, short and cylindrical.

Female. Unknown.
