Saccharodite foliata species group

Diagnosis. The species of the Saccharodite foliata species group can be recognized by the combination of the following characters:

1. Greatest width of basal median cell about twice of greatest width of basal cell between M and Sc+R.

2. Forewings with veins around M-Ms3 fork marked with dark infuscation (see Fig. 83).

3. In profile head angulated, slightly angulated or rounded at junction of vertex and face.

4. Sometimes a blade-like process attached to the left side of the stem of the male aedeagus.

5. Male genital style with proximal dorsal processes slender.

Distribution. Species of this group are found in Borneo and West Malaysia.

Discussion. We have some doubts about the relationship of some of the species of this group, as some characters like the angulation of the head in profile at the junction of vertex and face do not seem to be very consistent.
