Diagnosis. The species of the Saccharodite lugubris species group can be recognized by the combination of the following characters:

1. In profile carinae of vertex and base of frons forming an angle of about 90°.

2. Forewings with greatest width of basal median cell about twice of greatest width of basal cell between M and Sc+R.

3. Forewings with apical portions of Cu1 and Ms1b separated.

4. Forewings with bases of Cu1 and Ms1b merging at end of basal median cell as in typical vein pattern of other species of Saccharodite .

5. Male genital style with proximal dorsal processes slender.

Distribution. Species of this group are found in Borneo.
