Distribution. Brazil (Amazonas*, Pará), Guyana (Mazaruni-Potaro District, Region IX), Paraguay (Paraguari) and Venezuela (Amazonas) ( Miller 2016) ( Fig. 17 View FIGURE 17 ).

Habitat. Hydrodessus octospilus has been collected from blacklights, forest creeks and river margins ( Miller 2016, present paper).
