R e c o g n i t i o n The female of Podalonia harveyi View in CoL differs from all Palearctic species with a setose propodeal enclosure in having a flattened clypeus, a conspicuous median depression on the frons (fig. 22), and the interocellar distance is short (POD: OOD = 1: 2). In addition, the mesopleuron is densely rugose, the clypeus and frons are without appressed silver setae and the erect setae on head and thorax are black. The length of the petiole is 0.75 hindtarsomere I, the foretarsomeres are slightly asymmetrical and the arolia small.
