Artiodactyla View in CoL (“Cetartiodactyla”)

Six species of artiodactyls in four families (including cetaceans) are definitely known to occur in the Yavarí-Ucayali interfluve. Whereas the families of terrestrial artiodactyls ( Tayassuidae and Cervidae ) are each represented by two species in our region, the aquatic families ( Iniidae and Delphinidae ) are represented by a single species each.
