Distribution, habitat, and phenology:— Tropical Asia in Borneo, China (Guangxi and Hainan provinces), NE- (Assam state) and SW- (Kerala; see Soumya 2018) India, Eastern Himalayas, Indonesia (Lesser Sunda Islands), Java, Laos, Malay Peninsula, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam ( POWO 2022). Populations grow on sandy and clayey soils, on rocky beds near river valleys and sandy shores, mostly at 600–700 m of elevation. The flowering and fruiting times are both June to October.
