Stictane heppneri Bayarsaikhan & Bae View in CoL , n. sp.

( Figs 10 View FIGURES 10–14 , 24 View FIGURES 24–25 )

Type materials. Holotype: 1 ♂, Cambodia, Kirirom , Koh Kong Prov. (N11˚19′14.77″, E104˚02′11.67″), 6.II.2014 (YS Bae, KS Oh, YD Ju, MJ Qi, BS Park, SM Na, JW Kim, DJ Lee), Gen. Slide No. INU˗1353C . Paratype. (1 ♂) Cambodia : 1 ♂, Phnom Kulen National Park , Siem Reap Prov. (N13˚36′43″, E104˚06′55″, Alt. 839m), 15.II.2013 (YS Bae, YD Ju, BS Park, HJ Lee), Gen. Slide No. INU˗1444C .

Diagnosis. The male genitalia structure of the new species is similar to only that in S. muara Holloway, 2001 ( Holloway 2001: 438, f. 8d–e). Both species have rounded apex of valva and straight subapical spine, but the new species can be distinguished from S. muara by the apical part of valva roundly curved inward (in S. muara , apical part of valva only less strongly curved inward); a subapical spine extend into half of cuculus (in S. muara , a subapical spine extend into 2/3 of cuculus); costal margin of valva with one large angular projection at 1/3 (in S. muara , costal margin of valva with two asymmetrical, small angular projections at middle of costa); apical saccular process not extend into start of subapical spine (in S. muara , apical saccular process extend into start of subapical spine); juxta arch˗shaped (in S. muara , juxta triangular). Also, in this new species superficially differs from S. muara Holloway by having the forewing with a pair dark discoidal spots (in S. muara , forewing with only one dark discoidal spot).

Description ( Figs 10 View FIGURES 10–14 a–b). Length of forewing 5–6 mm in male. Head pale gray; frons fuscous; labial palpus dark, slender, upturned over vertex. Patagium and tegula pale gray. Thorax dark gray. Femur, tibia and tarsus of forelegs dark gray. Femur of midlegs with fuscous gray; tibia dark gray, a pair of spurs in middle part (one short, another one long); tarsus dark. Hindlegs with femur gray; tibia pale gray, with a pair of spurs in middle part (one short, another one long) and a pair of spurs in apical part (one short, another one long); tibia fuscous. Ground color of forewing light gray, with antemedian series of three dark spots distinct; almost straight medial dark band slender, rectangular at costa; a pair discoidal dark spots distinct; postmedian series of dark spots convex outward; apex with triangular fuscous patch; terminal series of spots dark; fringe fuscous. Hindwing fuscous gray; fringe gray.

Male genitalia ( Fig 24 View FIGURES 24–25 a–b). Uncus slender, hook˗shaped, with a small spine at tip. Valva symmetrical, weakly sclerotized, roundly curved inward, with weakly setose; rounded apex of valva with a subapical spine, extend into half of cuculus; costal margin of valva with one large angular projection at 1/3 from basal outward. Apical sac- cular process slender, sickle˗shaped, nextend into 1/3 from apex of valva. Juxta arch˗shaped, weakly sclerotized. Aedeagus stout and vesica with a slender, long hook˗shaped spine and two bundle of short spiness, and finely sco- binate.

Female genitalia. Unknown.

Distribution. Cambodia (Koh Kong and Siem Reap provinces).

Etymology. The species is named in honor of Dr. John B. Heppner, McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity, Florida Museum of Natural History, University of Florida, a leading American specialist in the study of Lepidoptera .

Remarks. Table 1 View TABLE 1 . describes the external features that distinguish this new species from the genital structures not examined three Vietnamese species ( Figs 12–14 View FIGURES 10–14 ).
