Species included

Australian: P. simplicipes Serville, 1838 (= P. pasithoe ( Westwood, 1859) , syn. n.), P. spinosa Brock & Hasenpusch , sp. n., P. squalida ( Gray, 1833) . There are also eight other species from Africa and Asia, none of which appear to belong to this genus.
