( Figs 15–16 View FIGURES 15 – 22 , 29 View FIGURES 23 – 33 , 34 View FIGURES 34 – 41 , 44, 52 View FIGURES 42 – 53 , 58 View FIGURES 54 – 61 , 66 View FIGURES 62 – 69 , 81–82 View FIGURES 70 – 85 )

Measurements. Male 3.80 mm long, 1.12 mm wide across eyes; female 3.95 mm long, 1.20 mm wide across eyes.

Head and thorax (color). Ground color dark brown with lemon yellow areas on head. Crown ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ) with pair of lemon yellow maculae adjacent to each compound eye contiguous to facial and pronotal ones. Face ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 23 – 33 ) with large lemon yellow marking extending from one eye to the other. Frontoclypeus with median lemon yellow band; lora excepting margins, and genae lemon yellow. Antennae, pedicel and flagellum lemon yellow.

Pronotum ( Figs 15–16 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ) with lateral marginal area and narrow posterior margin lemon yellow. Mesoscutellum lateral margins ochraceous. Forewings ( Figs 15–16 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ) dark brown at proximal area becoming paler gradually towards apex, band along costal area except in basal 0.25 hyaline, margins ochraceous. Thoracic pleura with paler margins. Legs ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ) lemon yellow, protibiae and some areas of other parts specially tarsomeres and claws, fuscous.

Morphology. Face rather polished, in lateral view ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15 – 22 ) convex, pronotum finely granulose, transversely wrinkled with one depressed transverse area on either side of median line in anterior half.

Male genitalia. Pygofer ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 34 – 41 ), in lateral view, with posterior margin narrowing towards blunt apex, and directed inward; caudodorsal region with serrated process ( Fig. 81 View FIGURES 70 – 85 ). Valve ( Fig. 52 View FIGURES 42 – 53 ), in ventral view, as long as subgenital plates. Subgenital plates ( Fig. 52 View FIGURES 42 – 53 ), in ventral view, fused to valve and to each other along basal portion, narrowed on distal 0.66; apex subacute; in lateral view ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 34 – 41 ), extending posteriorly well beyond pygofer, and lacking hair-like and prominent setae. Styles ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 42 – 53 ), in dorsal view, well developed, outer fork rounded and short, bearing scattered setae, inner fork longer with basal portion strongly curved and apical portion subacute. Connective ( Fig. 82 View FIGURES 70 – 85 ), well developed and pigmented, narrower anteriorly than posteriorly; posterior margin bearing two lobes directed outwards with same distance between them as their length. Aedeagus ( Fig. 58 View FIGURES 54 – 61 , 66 View FIGURES 62 – 69 ), symmetrical; with well developed dorsal apodeme, 0.66 times as long as shaft in lateral view; shaft elongate, slightly angularly curved dorsally in middle, again ventrally near apex, with pair of lateral wing-like triangular processes at apical 0.25 length, and pair of short apical acute processes directed lateroventrally; gonopore apical on ventral margin. Anal tube ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 34 – 41 ), with segment X simple, without any process; segment XI with several short spiniform projections on inferior margin.

Female (color). Similar to male in coloration except additional hyaline band along claval suture on corium and entire costal area hyaline. Clypellus with median longitudinal stripe dark brown.

Female genitalia. Hind margin of seventh sternite rather straight.

Type material. MADAGASCAR: HOLOTYPE: 3, CASENT5501663, Province d’Antsiranana: Parc National Montagne, d’Ambre 12.2 km 211o SSW Joffreville, el. 1300 m, 12o35’47” S, 49o9’34” E, 2–7 February 2001, BLF 2853, coll. Fisher, Griswold et al (CAS). PARATYPE: 1 Ƥ, same data as holotype except CASENT5501759 (CAS).

Etymology. The species name refers to the triangular ( delta ) subapical process on the aedeagal shaft.

Remarks. Igerna delta can be distinguished from other species of Igerna by the subapical triangular lamellate expansion on the aedeagal shaft and apical pair of acute processes twisted ventrad.
