Ceratanaphes Noyes & Valentine 1989: 29 View in CoL . Type species: Ceratanaphes monticola Noyes & Valentine View in CoL , by original designation.

Diagnosis. Ceratanaphes belongs to the Cleruchus group of genera. It is distinguished from other genera in the group as follows: funicle 6-segmented, the segments at least twice as long as wide ( Fig. 72 View FIGURES 72–76 ); Fore wing not parallel-sided, about 5.5x as long as wide, almost transparent ( Fig. 75 View FIGURES 72–76 ); metasoma laterally compressed, about twice as long as mesosoma. Fore leg as in Fig. 73 View FIGURES 72–76 . Male flagellum 11-segmented ( Fig. 74 View FIGURES 72–76 ) and genitalia as in Fig. 76 View FIGURES 72–76 .

Body length. 896–1228 µm.

Distribution. Australia and New Zealand.
