1.2.4. Curtonotum platyphallum View in CoL species-group

Species included: 3 (Afrotropical).

Synapomorphy: Basiphallus with extensive angulate ventrally expanded and concave process (42). Tsacas (1977) included C. platyphallum Tsacas (based on the unique damaged holotype) in his cuthbertsoni species-group. Curtonotum platyphallum and the two newly-described species, C. moffatt sp. n. and C. marriott sp. n., form a distinct clade, and as attested by the above-mentioned synapomorphy, are here regarded as being sufficiently distinct to warrant inclusion in a species-group of their own.
