1.2.10. Curtonotum boeny View in CoL species-group

Species included: 2 (Afrotropical; confined to Madagascar).

Synapomorphies: Lateral lobe of epandrium with 2 very strong setae only (35), lateral lobe of epandrium strongly excavated (48). Tsacas (1977) assigned the Malagasy endemic species C. boeny Tsacas to his cuthbertsoni speciesgroup. Both C. boeny and its recently described sister species, C. griveaudi Kirk-Spriggs (also endemic to Madagascar), are here regarded as being sufficiently distinct to warrant inclusion in a species-group of their own, as attested by the above-mentioned synapomorphies.
