DISTRIBUTION: SE New South Wales, S Victoria, SE South Australia, N Queensland, SW Western Australia, Nuyts Arch. (Great Australian Bight, S Australian coast), and Tasmania.

STATUS: Locally common.

SYNONYMS: affinis, fusciventer, nauticus, peninsulae.
