Liguus crenatus barbouri Clench, 1929: 18 View in CoL . – Neubert & Janssen, 2004: 236, pl. 24 fig. 295. – Breure, 2013: 12 View Cited Treatment , figs 19C, 19ii.
Type locality: “ Pinecrest region , central Everglades, Fla. Hammock no. 21 (Farnum number). J.N. Farnum, collector”.
Label: “Hammock No. 7 / Everglades Pine / Crest region / Florida / J.N. Farnum leg.”.
Dimensions: “Length 51.5 Width 27 (...) mm.”; figured specimen herein H 43.2, D 22.8, W 6.9.
Type material: MHNG-INVE-64938, two paratypes (ex MCZ) .
Remarks: In original publication only the holotype is mentioned; MCZ 84527. The type status of this material is, however, not disputed. See also Neubert & Janssen, 2004: 236, who accept Clench’s statement “found in nearly all the hammocks of the Pinecrest region” as sufficient statement to warrant the status of paratypes.
Current systematic position: Orthalicidae , Liguus faciatus (Müller, 1774) .
