136. Tachytrechus consobrinus (Haliday, 1851) (Dolichopodinae) View in CoL — new to Portugal

Number of specimens recorded. 1.

Distribution. Western and central Europe, also recorded from Italy; North Africa. Portugal: one province (Minho).

Ecology. The single Portuguese specimen was recorded from a wet pasture with heather and broom in its margins at 1,091 m. This corresponds well with the species’ preference for mountainous peatmoors in most of Europe.

Rarity (%). 1.1 (very rare).
