Number of specimens recorded. 2.

Distribution. Restricted to the southwestern corner of Europe, including northern Atlantic islands; also North Africa. Portugal: one northern (Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro) and one southern province (Algarve).

Ecology. The only two Portuguese specimens were recorded from riparian corridors, one with; e.g., Alnus glutinosa, Salix sp., Typha sp. , Mentha sp. , Rubus sp. , and Cyperaceae , and one bordered by Fraxinus sp. , Populus sp. , Nerium oleander and Salix sp. Both streams crossed sclerophyll Mediterranean bushland. The ecology of this species in the rest of Europe is unknown.
