112. Sciapus holoxanthos Parent, 1926 (Sciapodinae) View in CoL — new to Portugal

Number of specimens recorded. 2.

Distribution. Thus far only recorded from France, and the Middle East ( Turkey). Portugal: two central provinces.

Ecology. The few Portuguese specimens of this species were found in Mediterranean shrubland with big rocks scattered across the landscape and forest patches of Quercus pyrenaica and Quercus suber ; and on the transition zone of mixed forest and an orchard. Its ecology in the rest of its European distribution range is unknown.

Rarity (%). 2.3 (rare).
