Number of specimens recorded. 19.

Distribution. Thus far restricted to northwestern Europe. Portugal: three northernmost provinces.

Ecology. Recorded from four macrohabitat categories in Portugal, with most specimens collected near agricultural land and in a permanent pasture (Lameiro). In northwestern Europe, S. laetus is widespread in the coastal region where it is found most often in brackish marshlands, coastal dunes, and other types of open grassy biotopes ( Pollet 2000).

Rarity (%). 4.6 (rare). Fairly rare (FL).

Activity period. July–September.
