Distribution. Europe; also North Africa. Portugal: three northern and central coastal provinces in this study, and Algarve (see also Dyte unpubl. data).

Ecology. Humid marshland habitats in the coastal region, which corresponds exactly with its preference for salt marshes and brackish marshes in northwestern Europe ( Pollet 2000).

Rarity (%). 3.4 (rare). Fairly rare (FL).

Activity period. July, September.
